Intermediate Web Applications Developer – Full Time
We are seeking a full-time Web Applications Developer to join the Wellocities Development team.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for whole modules within the product. Working well with others and communication skills are an absolute must, as this position will have constant contacts with developers, designers, and product managers. Also critical is an attention to detail, a pride in the quality of one’s work, the ability to manage one’s time and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
Construction and optimization of all web-based customer interfaces – including portal, widgets, and more
Creation, design and management of specific modules
Project documentation and collaboration on designs
Communication to stakeholders
Clear-sighted judgment in compatibility, optimization, and website structures is vital to the position in order to limit maintenance resources and maximize the web site’s scalability
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s in Computer Science degree or equivalent
3-5 years in-depth CSS experience, PHP, XML, XSL, XSLT, HTML, JavaScript
Experience with Linux, Apache and enthusiasm for AJAX, Jquerry and other Web 2.0 technologies
Must have experience communicating and coordinating across groups and evaluating and incorporating competing interests

Intermediate UI/UX Designer – Full-Time
We are looking for a full-time experienced UI/UX Designer to join the Wellocities Front End Web Development team. The team is responsible for all aspects of the consumer experience on the Wellocities site - from site navigation and user interface design to search functionality, personalization, and the presentation of advertising and content. The successful candidate will provide graphics and design support, translating product strategy, user research and business requirements into usable, engaging products that meet consumer needs and the requirements of Wellocities brand attributes.
Position Summary
The UI/UX Designer will be a key contributor in the conceptual, visual, and functional execution of the Wellocities website. He or she will collaborate with members of the marketing, product, project, content and technical teams to translate product strategy, user research, marketing messaging, and business requirements into highly usable products that are engaging, easy and efficient to use.
Primary Responsibilities
Work closely with product manager and engineers to create wireframes and design mockups for proper design implementation
Innovate, refine and implement product design by means of visual and functional solutions that respond to user needs
Develop and code HTML pages as needed
Manage workflow and deadlines of multiple, simultaneous projects
Identify and implement requirements, develop and maintain UI specifications and guidelines while resolving tradeoffs and implementation issues.
Education/Experience
Minimum of 3 years experience designing web-based user interfaces, including design experience with organization, navigation and search for large, complex web applications, including Web 2.0 communities
Solid understanding of user-centered design processes, usability principles and information architecture
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage work to critical project deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Director of UI/UX Design – Full-Time or Contract

Position Summary
The Director of UI/UX Design should be a thought leader who can steer, improve and enhance the experience for customers on Wellocities and partner web sites. He/she must have demonstrated competence in web/ visual design and aesthetics. Overall responsibilities will include developing the consumer experience, design language, look and feel and tone, and manage the web/visual design and related creative processes (graphics design, layout, copywriting) for both Wellocities and private label deployments. He/she will work closely with the VP Product Development to define and deliver the customer experience of Wellocities’s offerings.

Web Architect/Lead Developer – Full-Time
We are looking for a full-time Web Architect Lead Developer to join the Wellocities Development team. The role is responsible for constructing and implementing the technical design for Wellocities presence on the Web. This includes the selection of Web applications’ hardware and software platforms, developing site navigation, and designing an application framework. The position is also responsible for ascertaining systems volume and analyzing traffic patterns. This individual is sometimes responsible for creating original web content. Exceptional knowledge of various Web development languages and Open Source systems is required.
Position Summary
The ideal candidate has experience in the development of web-based consumer facing media properties or applications; prior experience developing applications that match or integrate a variety of third party applications; and a strong interest in and understanding of web-based technology and application trends.
As the successful applicant, you will develop a web-based application that will consist of key components such as a vertical search engine, geographically based mapping, integration and presentation as well as analysis of multiple sources of data, Web2.0 Interface functionality and the clipping, storing and tracking of data.

Education/Experience

Over 10 years of experience in web design, architecture and development
Over 3 years of senior level experience in managing the implementation of consumer facing websites
Detailed understanding of web systems design and implementation, object oriented programming and DB architecture and a strong understanding of open source and proprietary web technologies
Strong project management/time management and analysis skills
Strong understanding of web technologies, including security, and how they can be applied in marketing and the customer service model
