For security purposes, only your display name is shared with other users unless you choose to disclose your email address or other identifying information. When you're sent a private message from another Wellocities' user, we'll forward it to your email address so that your email address remains private.
What is a Journey?
When you or a loved one is diagnosed with a condition, a whole new life Journey begins. Sometimes these new Journeys involve keeping track of many new things such as blood sugar, blood pressure, medications, appointments, exercise routines etc. Wellocities has created unique tools to help you log and track various health conditions and the results can all be stored in you Journey. But tools aren’t the only thing you might need. You could start new activities (maybe a new diet or new exercise routines) and you may also want to read about different things you can do to make yourself feel better. All these 'events' can be stored in your Journey. Over time, you’ll see your progress and the trends or decision points that impact you the most. Journeys can also be shared with others on similar health paths. Learn from others what's working for them and share with others what's working for you. That's the power of the community.
How do I determine the specialty of a doctor?
Wellocities uses three different classifications when categorizing doctors. The classifications are:
Speciality - Field of medicine certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons following completion of a residency program. Residency programs are entered after successful completion of the M.D. degree.
Subspecialty - A narrower field of medicine practiced by a certified specialtist. Subspecialty designation is granted by examination upon completion of an accredited training program.
Medical Interest - Field of medicine pertaining to General Practitioners who have extensive experience in that area. Medical interests are not certified by any degree/diploma.
